At the Yorkshire showground today in Harrogate & getting peckish, so the pork pie stand looked very inviting & it's the best I've ever eaten made by Stanforths of Skipton highly recommended..👍

Waste of a pasty opportunity, Mr Rangie ;D

Pasties yesterday, funny enough 👍

As Dan Ackroyd says in the film 'The Great Outdoors', They're all just lips and arseholes. Mind you, he was meaning hot dogs but the same applies. ;)
Just to say that i love pork pies. :D

Caarnish? Caarnwall???
What accent is that? :-\ ;D :P

Waiting for the local steam rally so I can go buy up the contents of the food tent, proper cheese, bread, pies and pasties.

Scots. ;)

I worked in a food factory when I was younger, the pasties & pork pies once cooled from the ovens were the best ever before they were blast chilled. :y
-
Home made pies and pasties created with love and passion can be very tasty......unlike the shit that Ginsters make.
Pasties made with connective tissue, gristle, and scrotum, just don't do it for me. Not to mention the after-taste it leaves on the roof of your mouth. :-X
-
Yes indeed, making your own is really a Labour of love, but can be very rewarding 👍
-
unlike the shit that Ginsters make.
I've just had one. It's the best available from normal supermarkets... ...unless you get a duff one. Obviously, a Cornish baker does an infinitely better job.
I had it with chips and beans, because I'm a 5 year old ;D

Fish fingers yummy, one of my favourites in a sandwich, a close second to an egg banjo..👍
-
I used to love a (Birds Eye Cod) fish finger butty, with ketchup. Right up until the point she tried to fob me off with those Birds Eye Omega 3 ones, and I promptly chundered.
Not been able to touch a fish finger since :(
Never tried alphabet spaghetti, not been invented here yet!
Mrs chrisgixer used to do me those potato smiley faces for breakkie - she'd sussed my level!!
-
The omega 3 fish fingers are cheap shite, same as the ones in batter and the bog standard ones. Last time I bought the cod ones they were £7.50 for 30, you get what you pay for.

I like the sausages from my mum's butchers over near Newmarket. So much so, whenever I visit her, I bring back £40 worth!
-
If you are partial to the taste of pig testicles and cow anus in you sausages ( or you are just piss poor) so called 'value sausages' can be had for about 50p a pack.
They do repeat though. :-X

Carter Street Butchers, Carter Street, Fordham, Ely, Cambs. CB7 5JU.

Try the butchers in Lavenham high street Ronny. First building on the left as you enter Lavenham.
Used to collect their waste vegoil for my old 190D and purchase some bits while I was there.
Always very nice indeed.
All this talk of alphabet spaghetti reminds me of the Mickey Flanagan sketch about growing up in the East end.
He is observing the posh people who live there now, in Tescos and hears the Mums complimenting their kids on their choice of healthy food for their evening meal.
Positive reinforcement its called.
His mind goes back to when he was a kid asking his Mum if he could choose what she bought for his dinner.
"No you cant have alphabet spaghetti again. I wouldnt mind but you cant even spell, you thick little f**ker".
Then to add insult to injury she puts a stolen chicken in my sports bag.
" I dont want to nick the chicken Mum".
"Just go you little bender". ;D
-
Let's get it right, please. It's Alphabetti spaghetti

I'm fairly sure that Fordham and Soham have bypasses now (well, Soham did years ago before it became infamous on the daily news for weeks)
-
I don't go on the A142 until i reach Soham. My route is through Kentford/Kennett, Chippenham and into Fordham via the Mildenhall road.

I was there earlier today ;D
