So working with Daughter's Astra J rear brakes. Took the sliding pins away as they were sticking. After having cleaned them I realized that they are different. Same length and diameter though but the other has same diameter for the whole length while the other is turned smaller in diameter in center part and covered with plastic or rubber "tube". Do I have to put one of them up and the other down or does the position matter at all?

Morning! And thaks STEMO, good video, that guy was more clever than me and took the pins away one by one...
-
Which way are they on the other side?
Also is it possible that one has been replaced with something that fits?

Acc to video upper and lower are diffent and "right" location can be seen from there. My problem is that I disassembled both sides and put everything to washing process together. So I have now 2+2 pins. Also in spare package there are one of each type for one side.

Only ever do one side at a time. That way you always have a reference :y

Sure DG, next time one side first. And then hope previous owner made it in a right way. Actually spare part fig could show it??
