That will teach the bloody idiots

Not defending them, but they stopped building cars, so of course new car sales are going to fall off a cliff >:D

Well, you can prove anything with facts these days...
-
We haven't made a Jag car for eight months, the new ones are on the proto line at the moment
-
Another 'bleeding obvious' headline from the Sun. If you stop building any sort of stuff then people can't buy it.

Zackly.
The 'them' in my previous post was the press rather than Jaaag ;)

My neighbour has a 1960s 3.4 Jaguar which his mother bought new it's simply stunning in red with chrome wire wheels, that's the only Jaguar I'd love to own, the modern versions just don't hit the spot.

It's a funny way of going about things if you ask me. :-\

I'm guessing you are in the polishing brigade?
I prefer the modern stuff. If I had a mint classic laden with chrome, I'd never use it, making it just an ornament.

A manufacturing company with no product to sell can only ever be piss poor management.
That said, Jaguar hasn't made a profit since pre-BL days, so its a better brand to "experiment" with than their other brand.

If I'd worked harder at school I'd have one of these (assuming you mean a mk2). Always liked the idea of a light blue one to match my dad's e-type.
Then again I also think the first generation xk8 is one of the best looking cars of the last 30yrs. And SWMBO really wants an XK....
An f-type wouldn't go amiss either. ;D
-
🤣🤣 that’s three cars you want in just a couple of sentences, there’s no hope for you 😵💫🤣
-
I'm not sure who will buy the new jags when they become available to the public.
Jag CEO made it clear they have no interest in 'old' Jag owners who are predominately white gammon hetrosexuals with bigoted views, people who believe there are just two genders.
Presumably 'new' Jags will be sold exclusively the the LGBTQ community which includes ladies sporting a length. :)
Not the largest of markets for potential sales.

I enjoyed a test drive of both the rear driven and all wheel drive version. Both with the 5.0SC V8 lump. >:D
The 2 wheel drive car was more scary. 8)
I believe Mark DTM owns ( or has access to) the 3.0 V6 variant. :y
-
I do have a V6 SC as the personal toy and have driven pretty much every other type (including an proto SV V8 facelift that never made production).
I really rate them, very involved drive and pretty competent handling, for me the V8 was to much as er-indoors also drives it >:D

I agree...... and the 'end of the world' noise made by the V8' is the final big 'f*uck you' to the environmentalists. >:D
