New belt and kaboodle on the project engine. After roughly half an hour of turfing out drawers I found the safe place I'd left my DVD. It really is invaluable so thank you again. Must be the tenth I've done with it at least.

We'll ignore that DTM fella for a moment :P, but Robin Hood did a great job of filming and editing it :)
And for all those who paid out their hard earned £3 for the DVD, thank you, you have helped contribute to the running costs of OOF :y. Shame Paypal put paid to us selling them, bastards.

It's up there with the greatest car porn vids! 8) It should have got an award! :y

Yes it is worth its weight in gold, even after all these years.
I blow the dust off mine periodically to refresh my memory before doing the job.
Which reminds me. mine is about 6 months overdue, although about 25k short on mileage.
It also reminds me, isnt OOF 20 years old sometime soon ?

Just had a look, I joined 19 years ago this month.
Will there be a virtual party?

Crikey! 18 years for me this year.

In my original Albitz incarnation I think I joined less than a year after OOF began.
Could be wrong though, it was a long time ago.

;D. There have been some very amusing threads over the years. Also quite a few names that faded away. Either moved to a different marque or actually faded away……Desperate Den.

Yeah its a shame most of the old stalwarts arent on here these days.
I miss Loo knees unique brand of mayhem and hilarity too.
Im still in contact with him, although he is a much more subdued character these days.

Not many names on there I recognize, which isn't surprising considering I'm a Jonny-come-lately with only 10yrs of "service" ;D

I'll add to the thanks.
Honestly to think I was flatly refusing to tackle it for years. Then again years ago I was that much less experienced on working on cars, but the DVD really is a lifesaver.
Great work, all.

I have to add, this is the best forum for a car owner (Omega). Can't believe how times fly, I joined 15 years ago, just after buying my 2.5 Elite Estate. If it hadn't been for the help of folks on here, James, The Boy, Doc Gollum (Al) YS250, to name but a few, and the support given to me and Chris running the highly successful Wycombe meets, my Omega ownership would have ended years ago.
Thanks all..... :y

Same here. When rust finally killed my senator I bought a p/fl 2.5 V6.
I soon decided that I had bought a dog. It had most of the problems of a poorly maintained Omega plus a knackered AR25.
I was almost at the point of cutting my losses and scrapping it, but did some searching on the interweb for answers, and discovered OOF.
A few months later I had replaced the gearbox (on the drive by myself) and sorted all of its problems and ended up with a nice car.
Moved on from cursing Vauxhalls latest poor excuse for a flagship model and been with Omegas ever since.
My current 3.2 Elite is among my favourite ever cars and I have no plans to ever get rid of it.
I had to decide recently to reduce my cars from three down to two.
Need something economical for commuting so the C1 had to stay.
That left the Porsche and the Omega.
It was an easy choice. The Porsche has gone and the Omega stayed.
Drove it home from work on empty roads this morning, and knew I had mad the right choice.
Its only downside is the MPG, but that aside I cand fault it.
