Macron has been cheerfully taking British taxpayers cash that our foolish governments have given him to stop the boats, and has just carried on looking the other way as the illegals break all kinds of French laws when they put to sea in the dinghies and part of his problem passes to us. ::)
This is not the actions of a friend and ally, and the British government should be having a colossal row with him, not giving the prick a state visit! >:(

I have never set foot in the place and never will. It used to be full of French people, which is bad enough, but now it has millions of other undesirables too.

Drove to Eurodisney many years ago when the kids were young, the whole place was shite the people were shite & the food was shite, vowed never to go back.

I was reading about a migrant who was processed in Greece but moved on ( to Britain) as although he was accepted there by the Greek authorities, they would never allow him to bring his family. There should be bio metric cards ( for everyone including homegrown Brits) and details shared by interpol. Before anyone complains, we live in 2025 not 1025.

Starmer also used the word irregular in place of illegal, but I would expect nothing less from Mr Wooden.
Putting the word 'equity' in place of 'equality' also boils my piss, as they have completely different meanings.

I agree. Perhaps better would have been to omit “and yet.” Just leave it as a fact.
It all seems bizarre that illegals arrive in East / South Europe “ get processed “ then vanish to a better prospect ie Britain because they speak English . Britain should send them back to the country that first processed them. Back to biometric cards for everyone.

It would take some hard indisputable facts to convince me of that.
But regardless, its up to the French how many people they allow into their country, and it should be up to us how many we allow into the UK.
Macron has just spent two days making Starmer look like a clown (not difficult I know) and laughing at this country..

While he was here, no dinghys crossed the channel. So not only can they stop them as and when they want to, but he shamelessly did this as a demonstration while he was here "having serious talks". Then apparently reached an agreement with Starmer to take back 50 of them per week.
50 out of 4000 who arrived last week.
If Starmer isnt self aware enough to realise that this is designed to make him look like Macrons little bitch, he should be allowed to put his own socks on in the morning, never mind run the country.

Who was suggesting that? I draw a lot of my experiences on Spain unsurprisingly. As far as I can tell, supermarket meat is still butchered traditionally. There are however a lot more butchers shops on the high streets. Bit like the UK 40 years ago. What is happening is “ nominated” towns are actively pursuing taking migrants ( primarily Moroccans) . We think there are government incentives and it may be that if residents on the register are over 20,000 then more central funding is available. The end result is all the empty shops ( same problem as UK) are being taken over as Moroccan fruit and veg or halal butchers. So there must be a halal slaughterhouse to serve them. I suspect the town hall offers business rates reductions.
I have just tried to search on reliable stats on immigration and emigration for European countries. Plenty available for EU countries. What is interesting is Germany leads the field for both. I wonder where Germans are emigrating to……? If anyone has more success please post the results

Well, what do you expect? An American theme park just outside Paris? Of course its going to be shit, full of shit people - both the staff and the customers - and overpriced american style shitty food.
Its bad enough going to theme parks in america. Whenever I went to Universal nearly 10 years ago, I think it was something like $30 for a 4 slice pizza, and $10 for a soft drink. And the rides are beyond shite, with just 3 proper roller coasters across the entire park, with everything else being VR. Did I mention it was shite?

I quite like France, and the French. Obviously I don't include Paris or Parisians, or Calais and whatever the meatbags their are referred to (Somalians, I think).
Paris is just like London, only smells more, as the Seine is much dirtier than the Thames. And central London is a monumental shithole.
The rest of France is generally nice and mostly rural, and the French are friendly and helpful.
