Hi all,
My 2001 Omega hasn’t had working central locking or a working boot button since I’ve owned it.
When I unlock the door via the drivers side door lock, it only unlock/locks the drivers side door then need to do the rest individually.
Also the boot lock button doesn’t work or light up, have had a few Omegas back in the UK so aware of how they open, and all the other accessories and lights in the car seems to work fine.
I’ve checked all the fuses, replaced the central locking control module 3 times now and have just replaced the drivers side door actuator with no success. My next move was to replace the relay but as far as I’m aware these don’t have one?
Just to note, my Omega only came with like a valet style key, not your usual fob with buttons.
My other idea was to install an aftermarket remote central locking unit to try and bypass the system but I’ve either wired it in wrong (have wired into drivers door lock outputs, negative trigger) or the existing fault in the factory system isn’t allowing it.
Anyone have any ideas?
I’m in New Zealand so getting parts is an absolute nightmare, just trying to achieve remote central locking!

I used a aftermarket remote on the Austin hot rod that has the Omega door locks and wiring loom, it goes to the 2 wires that go to the key switch and works fine. Good job as I have no external key!

That’s exactly what I’m trying to achieve!
Don’t suppose you remember what colour the wires were?
I assume that’s the 3 wires on the back of the door handle that go to the drivers door lock?
I think what I may have wrong is if it’s negative trigger vs positive.

AS far as I remember yes, cant remember the name of the unit now. Just looked it up its Hawk.

It sounds like you have an incomplete alarm/central locking setup.
If you wanted to keep standard, I think the thing would be is to check connectivity between the alarm/CL ecu in right front kick panel to each lock. If that is all OK, potentially consider a replacement ECU with keyfobs included, if you can find someone willing to send out there.
For clarity, the keyfobs are paired to the alarm ECU. The key transponders are paired to the immobiliser ECU which itself is paired to the engine ECU. You aren't concerned with the latter.
