They both look troubled.

Not sure why orange man is pushing this so hard. Essentially he can walk in with a smile and implement whatever he wants. ???

I can't see it being anything other than mineral deposits in Greenland and oil in Venezuela. Acting like an ayatollah in his home country. If he carries on like this, his days are numbered.

Hope not. There are already murmurings from his MAGA base, this is not what moderate republicans wanted or expected.

Before Trumpy showed an interest, did Denmark ever give a shit about Greenland?  ???  :-X

What difference does that make?  ;D
I don't really give a shit about a few of my things, but I wouldn't like anyone to just take them.

They provided healthcare. They left the people to live their lives in splendid beauty. Not everyone’s cup of tea but they weren’t flocking to cities in Europe. We only have one planet and should treasure it rather than plunder it. Too many people, too much absolutely moronic consumerism to offset peoples miserable existences. Who benefits from the consumerism.Well Trump and his cronies. The Chinese. Not any Greenlanders .

Well....   I wonder what the average Greenlander on their icy streets thinks?  ???

If Trumpy offered them $$$$ for investment, upgrading infrastructure etc they might be tempted to become the 51st state.....

Next thing you know, Trump will be sending 'little green men' in there, who will claim they are being victimised because they speak American (English)  ;D

The Innuit kids want McDonald's and when asked alot of them said they would take 100k to become part of America :-X

Others are adamant that Greenland isn't for sale and even went as far as saying they should be independent of everyone including Denmark :-X

Which news?  The corrupt corporate mainstream legacy media?  ???

Yeah OK, I'm being a bit contrary....  ::)

But...

Where was the outrage over the years when Spain has acted like complete and utter Tuesdays over the border with Gibraltar?  ???

Where was the outrage when France sent technicians to Argentina during the Falklands war to maintain their Exocet missiles?  ???

Where was the outrage about Mauritius making unfounded claims on the Chagos Archipeligo and weaponising international law and opinion against the UK?  ???

The hypocrisy from the EU who have always backed Spain in their quest to gain control of Gibraltar, against the expressed wishes of the Gibraltarians, and Starmer who talks loftily about the Greenlanders right to self determination, but doesn't give a flying fk about the Chagossians right to any say in what happens to their islands as he hands them over to Mauritius is just effing staggering!  >:(

But hey! It's Trump, so lets all jump on the Outrage Bus as Nigel (Entwood) used to say!  ::)  :-X

And another thing....   China!  ::)

Where was the outrage when China disregarded the international treaty with Britain guaranteeing Hong Konger's the same rights and liberties for 50 years, known as the 'Basic Law', after Hong Kong was handed to China in 1997.  ???

Where's the outrage about China claiming almost all of the South China sea, including the Exclusive Economic Zones (EEZ) of neighbouring countries such as Vietnam, Philippines and Malaysia, and building military bases on islands, atolls and reefs across the region?  ???

But it's Trump, who is acting like a dick, so lets all get outraged!  ;D

The guy is a fučkin nutter. He proved it again today with his infantile letter to the Danish prime minister. 'You didn't give me my favourite toy, so I'm gonna throw the rest out of my pram'

Yes he's completely unhinged!  :o  ::)

I wonder how a great country like the USA can keep putting nutters and dotards into the Oval Office? It's not that long ago, but people have forgotten about 'Dubya' already.  ::)

Anyway it's the rank hypocrisy especially from Starmer that's got my goat.  You'd think the BBC might point that out?  :-X

Looks like the chinky super-embassy has now been given the green light.

.......oh, and Trump has stuck his oar in about the Chagos surrender. >:D

Looks like Starmer's constant 'rimming' of the orange man has made no difference.

Watching the news at lunchtime just gets more ridiculous every day with Trump praising himself at every opportunity, the look on the faces of his members of staff says a lot , the man is totally crazy, but his take on Starmer is totally correct.

Trump does tend to ramble on, presumably due to his age. Is there a creeping senility starting to form?

He's a businessman. not a diplomat.  So I think he tends to go in hard, as that leaves more movement for negotiation.

He keeps mixin*up Iceland with Greenland. Maybe Iceland is next on his shopping list. Then Ireland and Britain to complete coverage of the passage

It wouldn't be unusual for a US President to be honest. Dubya? Biden? Now Trumpy?  ::)

Of course I'm too young to remember much further back, but I believe Clinton had his mind on other things and Nixon was rather controversial as well?  ???  ::)

Ah, Tricky Dickie Nixon.....they don't make them like that any more. ::) Or Clinton for that matter.

If memory serves he left his jizz on the dress of a young innocent intern called Monica. Unfortunately she was so poor she couldn't afford to get the dress dry cleaned. 8)
