Put them on an auction site or offer on social media, alloys always have a value as scrap or a sale.

but sadly only ever worth what some one is prepared to pay

But an interesting way "not to advertise" ::)

Is there a market for used wheels would be a fair question, but your post is an advert however much you might protest otherwise.

Well how would I inform the reader of the type of alloy if I didn't post a picture?

I didn't say the thing was for sale, I didn't say I wanted to sell it or what I wanted for it in return, no price was mentioned.

I wanted advice on whether there was a market for it, exactly as you say, yet you took it down and called it an advert. How do people discuss stuff on forums like this if moderators are so strict?

Ridiculous.

Another happy customer ;D

So it wasn't a thinly disguised way of trying to sell for free, hence needing to have a picture of what type of wheel, but just needing advice on what to do with a wheel.  Then the toys come out the pram, because somehow the rules we all abide by do not apply to them.

We have been doing this a long time, and I personally have been moderating forums for over 25 years, and BBS's before that.

Good luck with your sale. Somewhere else.
