The knives, which are already out, will be sharpened even further ;D
-
The Labour party leadership were never gonna let him stand, particularly with Starmer in such a weak position....
-
But the NEC are independent from the Leadership. ::) :D ;D ;D
I cant imagine Starmer would have twisted arms, used blackmail, made promises and such like. :)
-
I'm not surprised one bit.

If Burnham got back in the Commons, Starmer would be toast by the end of the year.
Although he still might be anyway.
Its a good thing Imo, because Burnham is more presentable and not robotic like Starmer, but he would be just as useless if he became PM.
I would imagine that after this reminder for the country as to why Labour shouldnt be allowed into Govt. they will be out of power for a generation again.

Yep...Burnham is not the new messiah. He would certainly be an improvement on Starmer but that is a very low bar.
AB is popular in Manchester as an old school left wing socialist but, I doubt he would be so popular with the shandy drinking bedwetters further south. :)
