Title: Gordon Brown  (Part Two)
Post by: Searcher on 23 September 2008, 22:57:02
We have the distinguished honour of being on a committee to raise:
FIVE THOUSAND POUNDS
for placing a statue of:
GORDON BROWN

in the County Offices at Matlock

The committee was in quandary as to where to place the statue. It was thought not wise to place it beside Edwina Currie, who never told a lie, nor beside Dennis Skinner, who, never told the truth, since Gordon Brown could never tell the difference.

We finally decided to place it next to Christopher Columbus, the greatest sailor of all. He left, not knowing where he was going, and upon arriving, did not know where he was. He returned, not knowing where he had been, and did it all on borrowed money.

Nearly 5,000years ago, Moses said to the children of Israel, “Pick up your shovels, mount your asses and camels, and I will lead you to the Promised Land”

Arthur Scargill said, “Lay down your shovels, sit on your asses and light up a camel, this is the Promised Land”.

Mr Brown is stealing your shovels, kicking your asses, raising the price of camels and mortgaging the Promised Land.

If you are one of the fortunate people who has any money left after paying taxes, we will expect a generous donation as a contribution to this worthwhile project.

Yours truly,

The Committee .

Excellent  :y
btw ,with gold at astronomical prices it may have been an idea to have sold some of the countries gold reserves in order to help the country in its present difficulties. problem is,one the first things he did when he became chancellor, was to sell most of the gold reserves (at a low price) to help raise the countless billions that they threw at all the problems, only to make the problems worse and create lots of new ones.
not sure if he did this just before or just after he stole our old age pensions.  >:( :'(
