Speechless… shouldn’t let my wife see this or she’ll want me to invite you over for a week or two!
-
Very good, like the 45deg slant on the floor tiles, breaks it up very well.
I have to be frank and say I dont like white cupbords, its what we have at the moment and they are good when clean but, rarely stay that way for long.
Only other comments are:
- Cooker switch above the cooker is considered a no, no.
- Might have added an extra socket near the microwave.
Otherwise, excellent and always a better job then you get with contractors (your not so time limited so wont cut corners)

I'm thinking of deleting this thread in case Mrs AA sees it.
Brilliant :y
-
Ow yes, I am also keeping the wife away from this post.....why do women have want lists like barrel registers (sorry micro speak!)
-
i was hoping to have the cooker over 5 inches to the right to avoid the socket but that then meant not either having the r/h cupboard or the dishwasher in ahh decisions, decisions !
-
Yeh, know what you mean.....and with these daft new rules about wiring (like I pay much attention to them :y).
-
Nice to see you've got a health grill there. ;)
Seriously, nice job m8. :y
-
Very swish looking :y looks like it is slightly larger than ours but a similar layout.
I'd watch that wire hanging from the socket above the cooker, we put a fryer next to the cooker on the worktop and the heat when the oven was on melted the plastic of the case :o
-
Looking good like the colour scheme :y
-
WOT! - NO SINK? ;D :o ::)
AH - now if I move the picture over :-[
I'll swap it for mine anyday - looks like a good job!
-
High gloss black granite worktops - nice :)
-
cheers all, get x-mas out of the way then its the hallway, the living room, modernising my daughters room from barbie to whatever is the latest fad then........
-
Looks great dob done :y
Make sure you are careful with the high gloss worktops, they will show scratches very easily......i know i had very similar worktops in my last house :-[
-
Job well done M8 :y.......and yeah electrics, not allowed to add any more sockets or light switches than what you already have under the new regs., if you are a DIYer :(.......But hey :y, just don't tell anyone if you do.

I had the green ones TD. MFI are hard as nails - B&Q are soft as sugar. I road tested them first with my car keys - that's what display units are for isn't it? ;)
-
Nicely done! I prefer a different style, but can't fault the workmanship :y
Can the anyone else reach the microwave? :P
-
nope, only me and the missus can reach the microwave, better that way with a ten year old budding nigella lawson around!!!
-
Nice job :y Why is it that kitchens always take so long to do though? :-/ My mate at work seems to have been doing his for about a year now and it still ain't finished :-?
What are you going to do with all your spare time now it's done?.....ah, I know - spend it on here!! ::) ;D
-
Nice job! Well done!!
We're having a new kitchen fitted next Monday. I'd have done it myself, but I just don't have the time.
Tell you what though, Just trying to get someone to give us a quote for a new kitchen was a joke!! We ended up going for an Ikea one!! WQe even had the typic al kitchen salesman who quoted us £12k then dropped the price to £6k, 'If I'd sign right there and then', when I told him he was completely out the ballgame, even though I'd told him under no uncertain terms I wouldn't be signing anything that day!!
-
Nice to see you've got a health grill there. ;)
You mean the George Foreman Lean Mean Fat Reducing Grilling Thrilling I Can't Box Machine? :P
Looks very nice that!
-
8-) very nice :y
-
Great work my friend , should be proud of it :y
-
Very very nice that isn't a B&Q gloss white kitchen by any chance is it?
-
nope, its a white gloss "como" from homebase, with the usual doors and sections missing on receipt !!

Personally I have been fitting wickes off the shelf kitchens for m8's, and in my old flat, very cheap but same as B&q etc., etc.,

I hate B&Q, Homebase and Focus, sell the big stuff cheap and then rip you on the stuff you need to go with it. Wickes is the dogs danglies, but there again it is more set up towards tradesmen but i tend to use Screwfix more than any of these ;)

Screwfix is good too for fixings and other tools, hard to come by :y...I have used them aswell.
-
Hey! I've just finished doin' the toilet ... anybody want to see the pictures? ;D
Thought not. :-/
-
I use Screwfix a lot (there kitchens are Moores by the way....), even better now there is a trade counetr in Nottingham
Remember that Wickes and Focus are the same company.....

My mum and dad just got quoted £18,000 to get our kitchen done :o
The guy went down to £10,000 and they refused to take it any further due to the money they were trying to charge!
Big bossman came out last week and offered some sort of upgrade or something and they are getting it for about £6,000 now :y
