I have one of these systems that uses the air in the spare to push the brake fluid round. It makes life very easy and I have used it on several cars with complete success. However I read (in a haynes book!) that you shouldn't use it on some cars. Is this true?. Do you risk damaging the ABS system ?.
I am half way thro changing a broken brake pipe on my son's renault megane, and don't fancy having to bleed the whole system the old way. :'(

I use easibleed kits :-/
Key is not to allow air into ABS modulator - then you are up smelly creek search for an oar

Thanks for that TB. Just back from fitting the new brake pipe. One rear bleed nipple sheared, but on the +ve side, 3 came out easily :y. We'll get a new brake cylinder next week.
Had fun bleeding the system, lots of bubbles out of the new rear pipe. I must have taken a cupfull of fluid out, and its the new fluid as you can see by the colour, yet still clear for 4" then 4" bubbles, then clear for... etc. I don't know where the air is coming from. Brakes feel OK'ish, not as good as the Miggy, but hey its french!. There are no ABS warning lights on so hopefully its OK.

Take care with the instructions.
Recommended pressure is 20 psi - not 30- 33. AFAIK they used to state max of 15 psi.
Anyway, FYI below

Thanks for that, 15psi, oops :D :D :D. Well nothing went bang, so...
I still can't figure out where the air was coming from. As I said it was clean stuff coming out so that would suggest the good stuff had flowed thro from the reservoir and filled the new pipe. Maybe the bleed nipple wasn't open enough to get a good flow through?. It should stop bubbling eventually shouldn't it ?. Unless there is another air leak somewhere.
Cars are a mystery ;D ;D
