Title: The BBC spending your money wisely again....not.
Post by: Nickbat on 30 September 2008, 22:51:05
I have to agree with Anthony Watts comments: "...just unbelievable stupidity in the guise of bad science".

I don't get where the BBC has spent money unwisely - by covering the story you mean?

Anyway for my 2 cents Polar bears absolutely rock - anything that helps us understand them is a good thing in my book  :y

Did you know polar bears are the only animal that actively hunt humans? I reckon they deserve further study :o

Indeed Bannjaxx, and if it wasn't for the BBC we wouldn't know about this piece of (absurd? - well in many peoples eyes, yes, but that does NOT mean it is wrong to do so!)  research and we could not be in a position to discuss it know. ::) ::)

That is the wonderful thing about the BBC it reports ALL news stories without censor and lets us the people decide what it right and what is wrong. 8-) 8-)

That to me is a sound broadcaster in a democracy, instead of a severely controlled BBC in a totalitarian state. :y :y

Future recommended diet (average person, per week)

500g of meat and 1 litre of milk, which is equivalent to:

1 quarter-pound beefburger

2 sausages

3 rashers of bacon

1 chicken breast

1 litre of milk or 100g of cheese

if thats for one week - I'd be screwed from Tuesday til Sunday!   :o;D

I agree with you Nickbat - theres loonies on the left too - and some of this do-gooding nanny state - i really detest - we're all adults - i'll judge how to live my life - even me and you can agree on that  ;) :y
