Afternoon chaps,
My oil cooler has died :(
But fear not, my trusty vauxhall trained grease monkey will change it for me for £40 quid and bottle of "good" bourbon...
But where is the best place for the cooler and seal kit? is a vauxhall jobbie and whats the damage going to be?

I think thier is a kit list of parts mentioned in one of the maintainence guides Jon. :y

Getting a nice mix of oil and water in the header, nothing in the oil though, just really "hope" its the cooler

thats not bad,
£150 ish all in together, just a bugger he can't do it for 2 weeks - guess I'll have to used the Mondeo

Even i have done an oil cooler, and i am rubbish with cars.
Its actually very straight forward... only pig is the crows foot socket needed for the oil cooler pipes next to the oil filter.
Plenum off, fuel injection thingy off, plastic cover above the oil cooler off.
Then its just the pipe next to the oil filter off, DON'T BEND THE PIPES, then it all just comes out.
If you can leave the oil filter sealant to dry for a day before using.

I used to work in the family Vauxhall garage years ago, hell even got my lvl3 NVQ on LVM, but I hate working on them with my heart and soul...
Also, I dont think my back, knees or neck would take a day under a bonnet :)
