IF it is the same member, Ronald McBurger (Fin) was one of the founding fathers of this forum. Despite great personal health difficulties he was an absolute legend and could do a V6 engine change in less than 30 minutes (OK, I exaggerate a bit  ;D). Last heard of selling his last Miggy and leaving these shores for South Africa (hope I got that right). In addition to his incredible mechanical knowledge, he was indecently helpful and incredibly amusing.

Hope "discotec" is Ronnie, otherwise I've made a fool of myself (again!)  ;D

Yes. It is me. R Mc B. I am not going to be around much and have no interest in Omegas since selling all 19 of them. I am now driving a landrover discovery, which I must say is jolly spiffing.

I do have a shed full of old omega bits that I may be slinging out, so if there is enough interest I may list the bits.

My main reason for popping in was to see what ever happened to Colin (Riso). Those that remember him will know why I am asking. I have lost contact and sincerely hope it isn't the news I think it may be.

I suggest we rename the forum to the Omega (and Ronnie McB's Disco) Owners Forum - that we might have the pleasure of a few posts from you in the future!

Sorry, I didn't Riso, but I hope everything's OK.

Cheers

Nick

PS How is Gertrude?  ;)

IIRC Riso was offered a new drug last minute, which dramatically improved things.

Hope I have got this right, and not confused with another member.

HC ended up with one of your less successful projects, 3 more owners down the line, and had a lot to sort out  ;D

Just in case you see this Fin ..... I have inherited a certain Elite with the reg letters GNU  ::)

Apart from my wanting to change the gas system fron single to sequential, on a new engine (and gearbox) she is still alive!

Taken almost a 12-month, but she is finally no longer a shed!!!!! :y

Yep that's the one !!!! I think you might have got thru a couple of lumps and a gearbox -- Lord knows which engine she is up to now!

I think (most of) the shell is original -- that's about it !!!!

GNU! Aha, dark grey metalic facelift IIRC? Didn't I change the engine on that one already? Sodding gearbox whinied as soon as it was changed toio IIRC! Didn't Tunnie buy that off me? Is that the same one?

Then again, after 19 of them one of them was bound to reapear on here at leats. Hope the old girl is better now. It was a bit tired IIRC.

Yes... found it in my pile....

Perhaps we could talk about a silver 2.5 with a surging autobox that never got better.
Ended up being sold to the steward at the local golf club where it stood for ages before mysteriously being stolen the other week ::)

Still I don't care - wasn't my motor ever. 8-)
