Title: cracked wheel nut

the unlocking  bolt has developed a crack down the outer case  can i get a new one from he dealers ihave locking nut number :question

I would be disapointed in the dealers if they cant supply you wirh a new one.

Give them a ring.

Do you mean the unlocking 'socket' or the wheel nut with the locking holes? :-/ :-/

Either way I reckon it will be easier to get a new security bolt set complete. :D ;)

Will it still remove the nuts OK? If so I would carefully remove each locking nut and replace with the normal plain nut (should be in a box with the locking socket) in case you end up stranded.

Buying an aftermarket locking nut set is probably the best (and likely cheapest) option. Unless you could get the crack welded up ?

the socket's are very soft i split mine when i had a punture trying to get tyre off ,the monkeys in tyre fitting centre must have gunned up the lockers ,now i keep me lockers off if i need to go to fitters and put them back on meself and tighten up just enough (£25 a set from stealers)

vx dont have a master to fit mine so its £30.00 for a new key
its cheaper to buy a brand new set
