Big thanks to Mark for his help earlier - a few more issues resolved :y
It was also good to get a second opinion on the drip. I'll have to go for a crawl under there when it's dry ;D

Is the auto box behaving better now?

I too need to add a thanks to Marks DTM for doing a bit of running around for me last week, and for helping improve my soldering skills. Been practising the later on a knackered NCDC2013 ;D

Is the auto box behaving better now?
The kickdown is now great (since you moved the floor mat ;D )
General changes are also indeed a lot smoother - unfortunately though, when giving it some high revs and then letting off the gas, it still "thumps" into top gear, and shudders the whole car :'(
Seeing as we've had the box apart and changed thrust washers, and inspected mechanics, I can only think maybe a dodgey solenoid, but maybe not enough to log a code? :-/

I probably wouldnt worry about that James.....my 2.2 has 'thumped' into gears (and always has) when you do summat like lift of the gas when its probably least expecting you to......but not to the point when it 'shudders' the car......i just think when it does it.......'that wasnt a smooth change' ::)

James james james... tut tut, first a non standard exhaust and now non standard floor mats( without the retaining clips??)... altogether now, in a pub land lord style... SHAME ON YOU!!! ;)
ps both my migs thump into second if you lift at the wrong time but nothing like you describe in top :-/

Swap it for a manual then you know who to blame if the gear changing is a bit harsh.
(And it will always be in the right gear, the auto ecu doesnt have a premonition circuit fitted)
