Hi everyone. Just picking brains at this stage, might not even be on correct menu but...
I've got a set of 4 MV6 alloys, one of them is buckled requiring 250g worth of balance. The car drives well, apart from a slight inbalance once you hit 70MPH. Once over 75 MPH it goes away. The affected wheel is currently on the rear nearside. All are visually very tidy with no marks. I bought them for £250 not knowing one was buckled. How much should I realistically expect to get if I were to sell them? Where is the best place to put them for sale? Appreciate I can't put items for sale yet on the forum, but need to know whether they are now scrap value or worth a bit more.
Thanks, FT.

Obviously if 3 of them are OK then would'nt you be better looking to replace the one thats a mishape. Am sure given time on Ebay one would turn up.
Also if it's not too bad then try having a chat with a wheel refurb company to see if anything can be done with it. :y

best try put on ebay at low start price and you seen what happend
-
saw a set go for £56 the other day ! :(
-
With/without tyres??
I'd just get a replacement wheel personally ::)
-
£56 isn't reassuring!...They do come with four nearly new tyres. Just sick and tired of car trouble at moment and thinking of putting originals back on...hey, it might even improve my mpg! I've been looking on ebay, but so far only seen one set of four going and seller not wanting to sell separately. Any idea how much a refurb would cost for one wheel assuming it can be refurbed??
-
refurbed will 20£ or more per wheel
-
I would put a pound on the other 3 are buckled or ovaled.
Out of my 9 MV6 wheels, 7 are buckled or ovaled. They are crap.

All 8 of mine are sweet but i know i'm a lucky boy! Value wise, hard to say. Beggered are worth the weigh in, good unbuckled, clean & unscuffed ones are worth what people will pay. They're my favourite Mig wheels.
Given the condition of my rims & the cost of Broocie's tyres (ideal combo) it's not unfeasible for the 4 corners to be worth more than the car!!!!! :o ::)

£20 each or more.............
Where you get yours done?
Mine were £65 each to refurb (as they were 'two tone').
Nice to look as they are, I cant really fathom why a car manufacturer decided to make such a nice wheel out of compressed egg-boxes.
Shall be moving to 19s or 20s if I can find some I like.............

refurbed will 20£ or more per wheel
Considerably MORE!!
Diamond cut wheels means £57+VAT each to refurbish!!
