As a starter, No 2 is Gigantic which was renamed Britannic so people didn't think it was linked to Titanic......not that Britannic ever carried any paying passengers because she was drawn into the first world war as a hospital ship and finally sunk in the Aegean.

Sorry....knew that one  :y

The Great Wall of China IS visible from low earth orbit (think space shuttle). But then so are roads, bridges, dams, airports etc.

From Snopes - clicky (http://www.snopes.com/science/greatwall.asp)

This pic is on NASA's site and shows Plymouth. The A38, Dockyard and breakwater are clearly visible.

Apparantly not quite true when you consider earth orbit (i.e. space station)

I looked into this having been to the great wall of china earlier in the year.

You can see one or two things, or at least the effective of them

The classic being the area of teh Nile where it has been dammed.....

you cant see the Nile damn itself tho - i'm guessing - although technically i suppose the effect is man-made ::)

I was hugely impressed with Casino Royale - reinventing/retimelining and introducing a new Bond was a feat I thought they would fail on.

Still torn between Goldfinger and Goldeneye as my favourite.

Worse, without doubt, is Die Another Day.  Bond can do no wrong in my book, but that was a crock of cack.

and the pics from satellites do clearly show roads, houses cars etc - but from the moon you wouldn't see jack  8-)

Goldeneye was great (great game too) Pierce Brosnan brought back a cool, slightly harder edge - but I loved what they did with Casino Royale - it was a lot tougher and more realistic than previous bonds (except the first few Connerys)

heres my rule of thumb for a good bond -

-must have an Aston (even tho it was a Bentley he drove in the books!)
-cannot be set in space
-absolutely, on no account, should Bond wear a safari suit!

theres probably more i'll think of later but thats the main 3  :y
