Title: Maybe a link to find our own posts?
Post by: richardirv on 06 October 2008, 15:56:17
forgive me if this has been discussed before but I think it could be a good idea to have a link or button on the home page to take us straight to post that we created.

I just find it a little long winded sometimes when I want to update a post i created months ago by either searching for what i think i called it or scanning though page after page of threads.

You can find the last 25 (max the search allows for other reasons) from your control panel ::)

Yeah that works, I didn't realise that was there but It does just show any post you have made not posts created!!

and it ok saying thats what the search is there for if you can remember what you called the post in the first place! hehe

You've probably noticed we have implemented some extreme limitations on searches - that is by design, and due to a fundamental issue with the architecture of the forum.

Use google ... go to advanced search .. put your user name and a couple of words from the subject in the top line ... then in the bottom line .. where it says domain .. put www.omegaowners.com  :)

I choose 100 subject / page as well .. but thats personal
