Title: Overhaul Commenced
Post by: Lizzie_Zoom on 07 October 2008, 18:35:39
Well I have now started with the overhaul, servicing and replacement of bits and pieces on my CDX.

However, it has not started quite according to plan today, as I have made the decision to replace all my Wanli tyres with Avon ZZ3's for a total of £395.78 which took place today. :y :y

A week ago this was not intended as I replaced a punctured tyre with a Wanli for £60 to match the inherited existing tyres, but I have written that off in the interests of my passengers, including a grandson, other motorists and myself. :y :y  Cem first warned me of the dangers of these tyres (thanks again Cem :y) and reading many internet comments made up my mind fast! 8-) 8-) 8-)

The "Zoom" in my name is there for a reason, and I cannot even think of driving at the speeds I do (on clear motorways) knowing I have got potentially dodgy tyres on the car that can split, bulge, or generally blow without warning! :o :o :o :o :o :o

I did at least stick to one part of my plan today; I purchased yet another Haynes Manual, and this time for another Omega! ;D ;D ;)

Next will be the purchase of a long list of servicing components! :) ;)
