Title: worst ever trouble with the other half
Post by: pete.h on 11 October 2008, 20:44:57
What's the worst ever touble you've been in with your other half?

I was playing in a tennis match on the evening when my two daughters were in their school play. (He's in trouble already you're thinking)

I was just about to receive serve when the wife turns up and shouts me (disapproving looks from the other players).

"I'm leaving James(aged 3) with you cos he's not too well and he might cry all through the play" she says   , "bring him along to the play later, if you finish in time "

The last bit was said in a very sarcastic tone of voice.

Now to cut a long story short , I turned up at the play before it finished , which was good, but the not so good bit was when the wife said , "Where's James?"

Luckily he was still where she'd left him , happily watching tennis and being looked after by two old ladies.

When she was talking to me again , which was a while afterwards , she said that if she'd had a knife handy at the time , she would have used it.

I still don't mention tennis matches too often and it was 18 years ago !

....  Leaving poor young James all by himself!! :o :o :o :o.......

I know a woman who went to the local shops and left him there in his Silver Cross pram (it was THAT long ago) while she walked back home on her own!!  :-? After 10 or 15 mins she realised what she'd done & ran back around the corner to retreive him.

'She' was my Mum!!!  ;D  ;D  ;D  ;D

In truth Andy I once did something similiar!  When I had my first child, Lewis,  I wrapped him up and put him into his carrycot before going out to Sainsbury's,

My ex and I was walking around the store and I suddenly remembered we had left little Lewis back home, in his carrycot, on the settee!! :o :o :o :o :-[ :-[ :-[ :-[ :-[

We just were not used to having a new baby for the first time!! :-[ :-[ :-[ :-[ :-[ :-[
