Err... no prises I'm afarid.... but you will get a nice warm feeling if you are the first to respond correctly :)
-
To make thing more complicated.... it was on a Sunday afternoon (i.e. yesterday) when NO resident parking restrictions apply...
-
Parking withing X yards of a pedestrian crossing? Even though there's bays marked out?
-
Is it because they are parked in the zig-zag zone? If it is it's a stoopid place to put parking bays!
-
As said before. or possibly not within the marked bays, but the little green car seams to be within the marked bay.
The one nearest the crossing is overhanging the criss cross lines.
????

traffic warden only needed another 10 tickets to qualify for bonus ;D ;D
-
The traffic warden was 3 short on his daily target..........
-
OK, you all very near, but the situation is a bit more complicated... ;D
(deep breath)
1. Some time ago, the council decided to resurface the road. When they finished, the bizarrely marked the central reservation area so that it is divided into parking-bay looking diagonal spaces. But these are NOT parking bays! This is simply an ‘island’ between the two sides of the road.
2. We have a pub nearby, and many pub-goers are not aware of this and simply park in what appears to be official parking bays.
3. There is indeed a zebra crossing nearby, as can be seen by the orange light just on top of the right-hand side of Lexus roof. Hence the white zigzag on the road.
4. Apparently, the zigzag on the road means that you are not allowed to park on either side of it. So the cars that park in the ‘parking bays’ behind the zigzag get done. Every weekend...
5. It particular you will notice the poor green Fiat, where the zigzag barely touches the ‘bay’ it is parked on... this ‘bay’ is the traffic wardens’ favourite.
6. Parking on white zigzag is a very serious offence, one of the few parking offences that are also enforced by Police. So on occasion we see either Community Support Officers or real Bobbys giving-out tickets there... absolute madness.
7. In this case, the traffic warden drove up in a Silver 02-Reg Saab on Sunday afternoon, parked it legally, went-out and gave the tickets, and got back into his Saab and drove off. Clearly, he travelled from afar just to dish-out the tickets in this famous cash-cow spot.
8. Interestingly, the Porsche (and another car not in the picture) that were parked in the two ‘bays’ away from the zigzag, did not get done.
9. In a word: Bonkers... :-/

Near Edgware Road...

Apparently a cars bumper only needs to be an inch over a zig zig to a crossing and the feds can slap a ticket on :-/ Some feds will even go as far as a towbar being over the line. :-/
-
The real reason my car (the porsche) didn't get a ticket is because I shot the bas***d warden before he got to my car. ::) ;D
-
3 points on your license as well for parking on zig-zags :o
-
I can see now....you've pointed it out MJ...i thought it was an optical illusion the marked out areas were different in size.....tho your bloody council should have painted them in RED to show it wasnt a parking area....easy mistake to make if no other signs up! >:(

Hi TD...
Yes, that or a simple NO PARKING written on the road...
-
Funny but in Annan, there is a zebra crossing with a bus stop on it :D :D :D
Story goes, the nearby school ran a competition and the winner was allowed to say where they wanted the zebra crossing for the school..... some little darling won and apparantely no-one wanted to upset said little person so they put the zebra at the bus stop on the corner too and its supposed to be the only zebra crossing in the uk you can legally stop on ( in a bus only of course!)
That is what my mentor told me when route learining me anyhow!????
