Title: omega a chav's car?
Post by: matt-sboro on 19 October 2008, 19:33:24
does anyone else seem to think the omega either goes one of two ways?

either its owned by someone who loves cars and looks after and maintains to a high standard
 or
its owned by a chav who dont give 2 hoots about what it is and what condition it gets in and runs it into the ground?

Yes but the latter isn't a chav, just a scruffy tinker isn't worthy of ownership. Ironically the word Chav or Chavvie was/is used by travelling folk when referring to their children.
It seems lately to haved moved to trakky/hoodie/cap wearing can't fight without a knife & 10 mates undesirables. ::)

Most of the Migs i see up & down the country look very clean, tidy & loved, many have private plates which is another sign of a loving/sad owner but shows they're loved none the less. Sadly i've never seen any with OOF stickers except at a meet & even at meets many don't have them, although not everyone wants stickers on thier car which is fair enough.
I'd say 70/80% of Migs are loved. 8-)

Mine is loved to an extent :)

I'll admit tho...

I don't clean it as regularly as I should (its lucky to get cleaned once a month)
It still needs the bodywork sorting (although the blue boot does look 'ghetto')
I've given up now on maintaining the current engine as its beyond it so just fitting a new one when I can...

But I do seem to attract alot of attention from chavs in there corsa's/saxo's/fiesta's...  But they don't get far once the engine gets passed its flatspot and picks up :)

But I do stick the cruise on at the various limits around town & on motorways, so very 'rarely' go above the limit (annoys the hell out of the 40mph brigade who think 40 everywhere is fine) and quite often have idiots about 2inches from my rear bumper flashing me to speed up and go faster than 30 in a 30...  Although some chump did annoy me in there fabia VRS thing a few nights ago after they threw rubbish out of there car and it hit mine... They didn't get far  :-X
