Title: Christmas decorations

For Chrissake, it's all for 1 day of the year and it starts earlier and earlier every year. It's sad that the spirit of Christmas has become nothing more than a massive commercial enterprise.

In the retail trade I had already planned the orders for Easter product for my Division! :D :D :D ;)

Yes indeed; we could hold a Christmas Day Meet and Meal in the car park outside my flat!! ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;)

When I slope oiff early from work on Christmas eve and start the Christmas shopping. Shops doing anything remotely Christmas based before them will cause me to leave empty handed. >:(

Post by: jereboam on 19 October 2008, 15:43:50: Suspect the wife and I will be sharing a vegetarian sausage on our own on Christmas Day. Younger son zooming off to USA for 2 weeks on the day, daughter working, doubt if older son will be able to make it either - he had last Christmas day off, so he's unlikely to get it free this year.

With no kids around, we probably won't bother with a £25 6' tree either. Hope there's something good on the telly...

And an increasing reputation for spooky noises and going on's on Halloween, have to scare the little darlings, problem is we get every kd in the village over the evening. ;D ;D ;D

I was like that when I was single, used to drive mini cabs, well execuive hire as I had a Rover 827 ;D ;D ;D part time when I was in Hertfordshire and always worked christmas Eve, but the only place I would be on New Year eve was in the Pub. :y

Totally agree, Loo-Knee.

I've always loved Christmas since I was a child and now I have children I can see how much it means to them too.

Took them out carol singing last year with some of their friends and it was great. :)

Bring on the turkey, bread sauce, mince pies... :y

That said, I don't like it starting too early. :(
