my daughter had her leg broken at nursery due to their incompetence, put the claim in, and they admited liability, going to get aproval from the courts in a few weeks. Has taken about two years tho. Its just a long slow process, we were advised up to four at the start. If they've admited liability it may help you be a bit oatient in knowing its when and not if.

it took nealy 4 years for my claim but it was worth it in the end to the tune of £7500! not bad for a whiplash injury ;D

my accident took 6 years to complete the claim, the doctors wanted to see how well i had healed and the long term effects......
it was sort of worth it in the end :y

the average claim is settled 12 - 14 maonth after initial consultation, unless the industry tried to call you a liar, then they will take it to court, thats even if the ins co accept liability, they may believe you are lying then want to take it to court, they did this to my family last year, we won tho, so dont back down to them
