Title: Cam cover gasket question ?
Post by: willyboy on 27 October 2008, 15:09:54
I know that most peeps recommend the VX  cam cover gasket kit & i may well buy those but saw these on ebay, now I know there cheap  but..

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=110127224948&ssPageName=ADME:X:RTQ:GB:1123

As I live like 10 mins away i asked about them regarding them being posted as often some dillons  bend them to fit into smaller package they said actual reply was
"Collection is fine,we are a couple of miles out of Cleck towards Dewsbury.
However you could tie the gasket in a knot and it would still work fine, the rubber is very supple and pliable. "

So my question is are the VX ones normally this "rubbery & supple" ?
Your advice would be appreciated  plus as you see they sell nothing but gasket & cylinder head kits !!

I have tried those gaskets from that seller as part of a head gasket kit.......and they were cap, lasted less than 2 weeks!
