Title: Dogs and fireworks

Our Weimaraner  pup has just experienced his first November 5th, as posted recently our previous Weim was exposed to fireworks at an early age and had no fear of all the bangs and flashes. I'm absolutely made up  :)the pup showed no fear at all even when the next door neibour set off some rockets that were nearly as big as a scud missile. I stould with him and fussed him when the fireworks went off then gave him a treat to show him there as nothing to fear

Ours is the same Tony, we took him out for a walk earlier and he never batted an eye at any of them :y

Our soft Lab is fine as well, she just wanted to go and investigate a couple of bangs, I know we are lucky. :y

Especially when you hear the stories of dogs having to be sedated to get them through Nov 5th

Sorry mate but that theory does not work, I jump at all sorts, juch to the delight of young daughter who likes to shout Boo at any time she can. Went to an organised firework event tonight and was still jumping at some of the bangs, much to daughters delight....... ::) ::) :-[ :-[ :-[

When I last came back from the sandpit where you have your face in the dirt dodging rockets every few days it took about 4 months to stop the automatic jump on the ground reaction everytime I heard a bang......and I live next to an Artillery range............  :-[

our daft lab thing just sat there watching fireworks for about 20 mins then went back in and got in her bed. little lad kept running back in the house tho. ended up watching thru his bedroom window.

I had to sedate my hamster before tying him to a rocket. Little bastard kept wriggling free.
