Chernobyl  ..

One name, what have many many mistakes and many broken families and sad stories...

I have read many pages about it..

But what makes me feel really bad, the fireman and a group of soldiers who accepted to die in endless pain for the sake of other people.. :'(

Anyone ever perused this site?

Very interesting.

I also watched a program about the wildlife that thrives in the area now it has been deserted for so long. Domestic cats which have adapted very well to living in the wild, for example, and all sorts of other wildlife. It showed that there's a positive side to it all.

the whole storey, the lead-up, the accident, and the aftermath is an interesting one.  And I reckon there is nothing to stop it happening again...

It's thought the sarcophagus will collapse in the future if not stregthened.

This event caused the Royal Observer Corps (in their Nuclear role) to be asked to use their monitoring equipment to detect fallout.
