Are all vx dealers shi*e. Took my car in today to get radio ccrt 700 changed over to bose mechanic said cant be done need to buy bose head unit. I said you can flick it over with tech 2 he says whats that.
I suppose if you pay peanuts you get monkeys.

£60-70 per hour and they dont even train thier technicians :-/

Not overly defending them, but as with most things in life you learn by doing. If he has never done it he in unlikely to know. Plus i doubt if any Vauxhall manual will deal with interchanging just a cd.
Sometimes the bigger dealers are more useful as they deal with the whole range on a more frequent basis. Plus if they dont know there is bound to be someone there who does tinker.

There excuse is they dont deal in car audio they send everything out to a car audio specialist. How do they do fault finding sort that was done with the aid of tech 2.

So the section in the Vx instructions (TIS) relating to memory codes and the specific line in the radio replacement procedure about saying program varient coding..........and the varient coding is what sets it to Bose.......or are they not able to read either!

I believe the ones who can read quickly get promoted to Technical Director or similar. :y :D ;D
