Post by: JamesV6CDX on 18 November 2008, 01:16:53
Day 2 - not too bad really, just a bit sore:

I've seen the oher thread but, how did you do it?  ::)

I stuck a small screw driver into the palm of my hand one night at work, just below my wedding ring. I stemmed the blood flow & just carried on with a big piece of blue roll wrapped around it  ::). Not as bad as other tales of nearly pegging it, but the following day my hand looked like an inflated rubber glove. Saw A+E junior doc who presribed the weakest anti-biotics on the shelf & off I went back home. A few days later when I saw a more senior doctor he wanted to admit me as my had hadn't reallt reduced in size.

I can fix that.

Step 1 - Preparation

Purchase one of these:

and

and

Step 2 - Execution

Put down some towels and drink

Cut finger off with

and cauterize the damage with

Step 3 - Completion

Now sit happily in the knowledge that you wont get some horrible super bug or wound up by the incompetence and inefficiency of the NHS.

The plus point is you can keep your finger as a talking point for the pub  :y

Two things sprang to mind

Sir Ranulph Fines (who did a similar thing with a frost bitten finger)

and Les Hope (of Kenny Everitt fame)
