Title: West Midlands Warning - Prov Licence Arrived
Post by: SheWhoMustNotBeOUTBID on 20 November 2008, 08:35:47
Just issuing a general alert.., my provisional licence has arrived, so I'll be using L plates soon lol.  Can't wait til I can drive my supermiggy (altho I will til legal of course).

So on top of everything else.., am now hitting the books to get ready for my theory test lol.  Managed to get 36 out of 50 for a practice theory test tho (without even looking at the Highway code).., bit more worried about the Hazard perception test and hoping I don't get a nervous twitch lolol.

Should I offer the Driving Instructor Valium?

Ha ha jimbob.., love the suggestion.., I'll pad it up a bit more too to make him more comfortable lol.  Maybe set up a dividing screen so if I press a button I can't hear him screaming in panic anymore :P

All the very best then, but the warning wasn't necessary I'm sure! :y :y

Just watch out for those women in 4x4's and men (sometimes women) in BMW's, as they will not give you an inch!! ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

And at the 2nd attempt It passed it'd MOT..

took it this morning, after fitting a gearbox. Not touched anything else and it failed.

No. Plate lamp not working ( It was last night when  checked the lights)
o/s n/s wipers not clearing the screen effectivly
n/s rear anti roll bar bush
o/s n/s front brakes binding

got home:...

Hit the no plate light. that worked
replaced the anti roll bar bush
cleaned the wiper blades
replaced front pads

PASS.........

OH NO!!! Really; indeed heaven help us all.  I am for one getting right off the road.  The 4x4's I meet around here are quite enough!

Today I was travelling back from, of all places the Kent Police Traffic Ticket Office (where they issue penalty notices when you are "flashed" by those cameras!) after undertaking Police training there for the civilian staff.  Another woman in a 4x4 came up very fast behind me in the outside lane of the M20, with me not hanging around, and hovered two feet from my rear bumper with us doing xxmph: I pulled over for safety reasons and she raced up to the cars some way in front doing exactly the same thing!

Yes, she was young, blonde (bitch!!) and driving one of those very big BMW, twin exhaust monsters I HATE!! Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr >:( >:( >:( >:( >:(
