Is that made of aluminium ?.  The spot welds look like they were glued together, they have just ripped out, the car had sheared along the weld line. When a proper car, made of steel, stuffs the welds usually hold together. Ah well, when in an aluminium beer can, you got to expect the worst.

holy carp!That is one lucky guy. I like how he was smiling, if that were me I'd be crying! I somehow don't think he'll get away with the sxcuse "but officer, is on doing 35!"

Wow, rather than pull the rear door open in the bottom pic, its ripped the chasis around the door frame. Must be a bloody sharp tree. Althoug i see they have it bandaged up nicely... ;D

Tree's are someting you don't wana hit. They aren't as flexible as you think, no matter what size they are. I hit a really really old Beech tree just after i passed my test & all i did was tear some bark off. It was tree 1 - Pete's car 0 :-[ The car was a total right off :( :'(
