Title: What a bugger of a job..
Post by: Gwilym on 29 December 2006, 22:25:17
.. to fit roof rails

My Roof rails arrived this morning and I looked to see how much I need to take off. Basically the whole roof lining to get to the nuts to get the roof rails in.

Still I suppose it will be worth it when they are on and I can put my kayak/surfboards outside the car.

Didn't think it through when I fitted leather cos now I don't want dirty stuff inside.

Got one, it is not the size, it is the dirty river water I object to. Worse still is manky surf wax off the boards

No, Just roof rails. I don't want some great big box on the top causing extra drag

My roof lining is in excellent condition so I have to be careful not to wreck it

Now when you put it like that! Still, I will just have to go slower on the way back with the boards on the roof.

Or...position the surf board across the back to act as a spoiler :y
