Stuff the valeting, i'd lick this clean, pure car porn! :P

Hmmm. Lovely looking, but what's the crack with the speedo cable broken on a car that has had so much TLC...? Should be a dead easy fix.
Seats don't look right either. My mates Recaros were black (in a red car) and the bolsters were much bigger.
Not worth the current £6,600 bid IMO.
But still a lovely car :y

Chocolate Cake HHmmmmmm ;)

Was'nt sure about the seats or centre console. If every OOF member donated £2 i could buy it & sort the imperfections!!!!!! ::) 8-)

They never did much for me tbh,but each to his own and all that. :y

No worries mate. I'm a fool for my classic fords, i adore them. In the right hands a good 'un would show many newer cars a clean pair of heels through some twisty A & B roads, folk luv em which is why they're so sadly overpriced. Never owned an RS2000 but have driven 2. 0-60's only 9 secs ish & top end is only 110/115 (true speed not what your mates or optimistic speedo tells you) but if you ever get the chance it's one of the best drives you'll ever have for sheer grin factor. 8-)

I drove a few of them at the time, they were good fun, forgiving handling etc, but like the xr3 which came after, everybody had one.
The old shovitt used to eat them alive btw. :) :y

All FWD Escorts were W*nk even the Early RS Turbos which were quick but did'nt handle & the gearchange was Allegro/Maxi standard...awful basically so i'm with you on that one. Love Shovits, cracking little motors that handled well, something none of the Vivas or thier derivatives never managed (sorry Pete, Firenzas talked the talk & looked good but still slow & sloppy handling). Oval raced a few shovits & they did well (Baby Bangers) @ Angmering W.Sx & had a red one as my road car in the early 80's hence the "little red chevette" p*ss takes i got at the time! ::)
-
oi my series 1 rs turbo handled like a go kart !! and with over 200bhp was bloody quick as well !! use to go out bike baiting in it lol !! ;D rs2000 beautiful car would love one as a toy 8-) 8-)

Agree about the Firenzas, even the Droopsnoot, they were just soooooo

I know mate S1's were the white lightnings. Went like merry break & looked well, very collectable now just not keen on FWD Eccies.
Can i have a RWD Sapphire COSSIE instead please? :P
