My mum always like him (but then she does get a free bus pass :-X).
I remember when I was at primary school (5 miles away, so often got a lift in winter) the only 2 tapes in the car were Wired for Sound and Glen Cambell's Greatest Hits.
Therapy was expensive ;D

I think it is time he hung up his microphone now and called it a day. He may still appeal to middle aged/elderly women but nobody else.
:D

Yep, from the brief bit of Songs of Praise I watched (with sound off!!) it seemed his audiance was full of woman of an average age of 70! :o :o :o :o ;)
I have never liked him since his "Living Doll" and "Summer Holiday" era, when he was 'hot'; went strange after that!! :o :o ;)

LOL, not sure which is worse, Cliff Richard, or my Gran's favourite, Val Doonican :o

Well Albitz his true (only two!) hits were around 1960/1 so you would have been around 14 months at that time! ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;)

Well,I actually like Cliff.
When I was younger I used to love Andy Williams..(and his bear) and dare I say Des O'connor.
Very few of my family and friends share my views on this. :-* :-* :-* :-*
-
hes coming to hall near you, hes going on tour with the shadows, by popular demand so he says, ;D ;D ;D

I reckon Cliff's gay - unfortunately for him he probably thinks this would horrify his aged fans and they wouldn't keep propping up his dismal records- so he has to keep schtum for the sake of the almighty dollar :y
actually - if he did come out - i'm pretty sure none of his fans would care - it's not like they ever wanted to fork him is it?
anyway - he's garbage, altho mistletoe & wine is OK ;)

Well I liked them, in my young days, and I don't care what you think :P :P :P
Quite like some of cliff as well, when he was with the Shadows. :y :y :y
-
It wouldnt sit well with his evangelical christianity.
-
Mistltoe & wine? In my christmas past she was usually too tired/tressed by then, fair go really.
Children singing christian rhymes? more like "where's me frickin' xbox?" & "i'm not eating this s**t." Wake up Cliff. ::)
Mind you Granny breaking yet another hip dancing to "Move it" after a few sherries usually cheers everyone up! 8-)
-
My 21 year old son is very good friends with Cliff's young niece and Cliff is a very generous uncle and straight, don't believe all the crap you read in the press!
But his music is dire!

Phew!
That was why I was a little surprised - I still think born again virgin though
-
Leave the poor old fellow alone! He was a pioneer in his day, and he's simply outlived all his contemporaries.
Where are the likes of Tommy Steele, Marty Wilde, Billy Fury and even Elvis Presley these days?
We've "Got ourselves a crying, talking, sleeping, walking, living mummy" - a national monument, if not an actual treasure.
I do believe that somewhere up in the loft, I've actually got a 45 of Voice in the Wilderness - or was that the B-side of something else?
Mind you, I don't think I've bought any more of his stuff in the last 48 years :)
-
Some folk don't know when to die. So i prescribe a bullet :y :y :y
