Title: Lotus Carlton

RHD Lotus Carlton being "broken " for spares on ebay..how can anybody break up one of those..it beggars belief..almost worth us all clubbing together with a small amount and getting it as the Forum Mascot...check ad out...250340397529..think I will bid £1=00 just to own a wheel nut from the most iconic Vauxhall ever made.

must be proper broken to be getting broken up though theyre worth a few grand as a non runner though!

He says it only done 60k miles, surely even if seriously damaged or broken down it has to be worth repairing.

This is the one that was on ebay previously that had had a serious rear end shunt.

Oh and the picture is of another LC owned by an ABS member!

I thought I saw about a year ago brand new crated engines and gearboxes for the LC going on ebay for about 6K for an engine, expensive, yes. If it has a rear shunt there must be plenty of Carlton's in the breakers yard that you can cut the back end off or even re shell it, 2 years ago I sold my mint 1989 Carlton 2.0 GL for £50.00, it had not a spot of rust in it. I believe all the body mods on the LC where at the front and the base car was, a base car they started with when building a LC.

As for the body kit, even aftermarket is better than destroying it surely.
