At last, this morning, I got the breather box seals for the mig - now they are fitted and the car runs like a charm.
I just want to say thanks to everybody on OOF - without the guides and near instant comprehensive advice on this forum, I wouldn't have had the confidence to change the timing belt, cam cover gaskets, water pump, aux belt and do a breather box cleanout on my own, with virtually no experience.
This forum is one of the many benefits of owning a mig, and I can say that after 6 weeks of ownership, I'm really happy I bought one.
Thanks again. :y

I've found that to get stuck in & think to about what you're doing, you can get good results, then you can stand back & say i've done that & saved lots of ££££'s too :)

I've got to agree, Pete. I got a real sense of satisfaction knowing that I did the work, it was done to my high standards (!) - i.e. I know the timing is spot on - and if a problem arises in future, I know I can fix it myself almost immediately, without having to worry about getting it to a garage.
And, of course, it saves me a fortune! :y

Excellent. Well done getting stuck in.
Over the last four years I have had loads of help from the forum and forum members without which I would now have been driving something like a Berlingo with nary a care in the world.
