Title: Leather interior..
Post by: JamesV6CDX on 03 January 2007, 18:20:25
If I buy a set of leather interior from fleabay, will I be able to anyway get this in my omega saloon (not fitted, just inside it).. to transport it home?

My front seats fold right down....

I've seen a Carlton interior packed into another Carlton, so I would think the answer is yes.
I saw it but can't remember how it was packed though.  :-[

unlikely in one trip - the front seats are quite bulky...

Why not whip out the passenger front seat and the bottom of the rear seat? That would mean you were effectively only trying to fit the drivers seat and rear seat back in!  :)

Cheers Jim

if you do, be careful of any side airbags and seat belt pretensioner...

you'd get the rear bench in, and upper parts too i should imagine. As mentioned though front seats will be bulky.

Maybe:

Rear bench, and rear back seat on the back seat!!
1 front seat in the boot
another upside down on top of the passenger seat

Hard to tell tbh...

true, I keep forgetting about these new fangled airbags in the modern cars  :-[ The nearest my imp has to an airbag is a packet of baloons in the glove box  ;D  ;D  ;D

What if I took the rover 200 hatchback, with the back seats down?

how about a front seat upside down on the front and the back seats in two bits on your back seat./ rear floor then finally squeze the other front seat into your boot with your back seat folded forward? and the seat protruding into the rear cabin?

Probably tight esecially if theres door cards too  :-X

if you take out your rear seat, and fit the collected one in its place, should be able to get both fronts on there side on back seat, and all head restraints and door cards in boot?

Got a set of seats in my estate no problem. You can always borrow mine if you need to James.
