I bought one off ebay against the advice offered on here (as it had a USB connection) ::) I know I am stupid but at £20 I thought it was worth a shot!
Anyway when I plug it in and try to check the Airbag all it says is "The Unit OBD II: Pin 12", I click ok and it says something about the device not being connected. Is this the problem that some of you guys were talking about with USB??
I can send it back for a refund so won't lose anything!

Have one similar but it does connect make sure when you connect it it connects through Com 1 port
Right clk My Computer/properties/Hardware tab/Device manager tab/the +ports make sure it uses com 1 ....through there or it dont work at all...Would get a refund if it were me as mine was nfg! :-X

Back on topic...
Have you tried reading engine codes etc first to check the units working? May not support the airbag system maybe? Just a thought.

The usb ones just have a usb2serial adapter in front. Force this to COM1 and you stand half a chance.
The serial version is flakey - the usb junk just adds more flakiness to it

Its trying to read the engine codes that is causing the problem as far as I can tell. It does seem to support Airbag and the ebay listing said that it did.
Anyone tell me how to force it to COM1? ::)
