Title: Who's a clever clogs
Post by: Elite Pete on 05 January 2009, 12:32:26
I had a miss-hap when welding my MX5 a few months ago which resulted in a sligtly melted door card so when I saw some Alcantara on Ebay I thought I would buy some and have a go at re trimming my door cards. The Alcantara is the stuff used in the MG ZT and has a 5mm backing which has padded the card out and I think it looks so much better that the original.

Ive got enough left over so might do the centre console :)

I was quite impressed with the job but the wife went ballistic because the first staples I used were to long and there are loads of little holes in the wooden worktops, just as well the kitchen is soon to be replaced ::)
