Post by: Arrolman on 06 January 2009, 18:49:28
Hi,

Girlfriend bought a ford ka a few months back and it has been having a few problems of late. Can anyone recommend a good forum for some advice and maintainance guides etc? Can't seem to find anything at all helpful :o

Cheers,
Iain

Hi,

I hate them with a passion, I spent a fortune on her last one getting the rust fixed, new engine sump, new tyres, wheeltrims etc, then she gave it to her mum who blew the engine up. She went and bought this one because we had split up and she needed one to get her to work and back. £2000 for a 51 plate ka, 1.3 with the worst filled in scratch you will ever see in your life all down the drivers door, and 2 dents in the passenger side :o. Totally and utterly off her tree.

Glovebox catch is buggered, £15 for a new one. Rear wiper doesn't work, wiring is ok, suspecting the stalk. Everything rattles, the drivers door speaker doesn't work, the other speaker is all static, and its bl**dy rusting in all the usual places!!!!!

Had a quick search on numerous sites but theres a distinct lack of any decent advice or guides to DIY, looks like a haynes manual and a hammer :D

Cheers,
Iain

A Ford KA went past me today when  I was out for my lunch time stroll. I haven't heard tappets like that since I last saw a Chrylser Alpine. :o
