so m8 was saying they split cause of his drinking, then he got worse, permantly drunk, nasty to his x and upsetting the kids so she banned him from seeing them. lost the plot so he said. i havent seen him for about 10yrs now since he got wed, but he was always a bit sarcy, drunk and a pain. got jealous quick and used to have a go at her in front of everyone.  :-?

I've had two mates of my own age die young. First was Lizzie, a french polisher, posh & pretty still got a few bits & bobs she gave me years ago, & i still love her. 2nd was Mick the comical carpet fitter & the worlds best drinking buddy, sudden brain tumour, gone within 2 weeks, no warning, hospital anything.
Worst thing was the funerals. Barely a year apart, collective groups of friends at each, worst thing watching the parents grieving but still thanking us all for attending. No parent expects to see their children off. Also bigger uglier men than me (no really) who were mates reduced to tears of disbelief.

I'd give anything to have them back again.

Know what you mean mate, was a pall bearer for a good friend of ours who dropped down dead with a brain haemorrage.
One minute she was helping the kid across the road to fix his scooter, the next gone.
Still they say she couldn't have suffered as it was so quick.
Like you say lot of big ugly bikers in or close to tears in the church that day.
