Its not good unfortunately........ i came off :-[
It was on the emergency stop at about 30mph, which i was really annoyed about because i did every single one, and i mean every single one perfect in training. Every time the instructor said excellent and i was confident about them.
However in my test i just seamed to grab it way too hard, and over i went, before i knew it i was sliding sideways down the road and the bike pinned my right leg.
I could not lift it off and i was lying in the road, the examiner came over and lifted it off me.
Good news is i am OK, gear did me well. No injury's.
Little sore and a embarrassed and very pi$$ed off. - Trashed the bike a bit, but nothing major, but it kept on going afterwards.
Having a little break from it for now, i am going snowboarding in the alps in 2 weeks, but plan to go back for more training and another re-test.
I do not like being defeated.

hard luck mate, you can always take the test again though

I just knew you'd be really sympathetic. :y

Sorry to hear that Tunnie :'(

It wasn't a good time to do it but now you have done a slide you have gained valuable knowledge.....at 30MPH the bit that hurts the most is your pride.
In my time on 2 wheels I have managed it at most speeds from 2MPH (REALLY embarrassing) up to 80. Still here to bore people by talking about it as the thing that does the damage is the sudden stops. Next time on the test you will be much more relaxed and will pass with ease.

Well on the upside youve now popped ya cherry regards coming off....imagine that 2/3/4 times faster. :o
Despite what some might say it can happen too anyone...hope you keep at it as its worth it in the long run.
Mind you...from memory (pics posted on here) your quite tall and ummm a bloke so whats this stuck under the bike business... :o

It's riding the clutch that does it.........

Bad Luck Tunnie, at least you got straight back on it ;)

Mate, i came off after stopping, Honda 400 superdream, no protective gear, stopped @ Broadwater lights on A24 southbound, selected neutral, went to put left foot down but bootlace caught on gear lever.
You can imagine the impending sense of doom followed by embarresment as the bike had to be lifted off me. I was only 18 & it was'nt a big bike!!!! :-[ :-[ ::)
-
Been there guy.... ;D ;D you stop at the lights and forget to put ya boot down next thing you know you`ve got a car driver pissing himself of laughter as a little old lady tries to help you lift your bike up outa the gutter right in the centre of birminghams old rag market by st martins church....i felt a right idiot that day :-[ :-[
