Title: How to save on your house insurance
Post by: waspy on 11 January 2009, 14:55:40
Had my renewel from Churchill the other week & so i went into Barclays to see what they had to offer. They quoted me £80.00 cheaper with a like for like policy. Result i thought :)
Rang Churchill this morning to lasp my insurance at renewel with them & the lady asked me what my reason was? "I got a cheaper like for like" i said.
She nocked off £100.00 off the original price & so i stay with Churchill.
If your's is up soon remember my post :y

I allways play insurance companies off against each other.

But the biggest saving I made of the Miggy insurance was changing the time of renewal.

My old policy was due in December 2007.  But when I got the Elite last year, I renewed my insurance in May on a multi car policy.  Before I did this I got a single quote for th old car and found it was £75 cheaper.

I feel the time of year you renew is balanced out by the average claims paid that time of year.

So my theory, on car insurance at least is to find the time of year with the least accidents for future renewal.

Am thinking this may well be the same on home insurance.
