would i get away with murder
My brother in law has just returned some tools that i lent him .Ratchets sockets spanners and the like .there isn't one tool that's not got rust stains or caked in crud on /in it, i take care of my gear and he knows this yet he still sent them back like that .He wont be using them again .Now here's the question do i murder him slowly or quickly
I needed that feel much better now :y :y
-
very very slolwly
make it painful
:y
-
Use the tools for maximum pain :y
-
Use different tools or the rust on his corpse will be traced back to you.
-
borrow something of his and return the favour :y
-
you could always run him over with his own car
make sure you reverse back over him just to make sure
-
rise above it....rise above it.
you are better then that. dont say out until he asks to borrow something again and then simple tell him no!

the wife just phoned him ( i didn't think my wife knew words like that) and gave him a really good reaming lack of respect for other peoples property etc etc and shamed him in to calling round to clean them .The wife's my new hero, i still want to beat him with the ratchet though :D

I hope you never lend him anything else.
When i borrow something, i always make sure i look after it.
I've lent tools out & not got them back & so it's something i don't do anymore >:( (Snap On mole grips come to mind)

ouch !!!!!!!!!! not cheap :'(

just be glad you didnt lend him your Y fronts :-X

The American philosopher; Henry David Thoreau's ideal was that if you borrow an axe, you should return it sharper than when you got it.
Thus, not just being a good neighbour: but, always a good plan if you intend to borrow 'stuff' again....a lesson your B.I.L should learn Zippo. ;)

I'm very reluctant to lend out anything TBH... Afraid I think you should clean the tools so you know it gets done properly, and have voted accordingly!!!
The moral is, don't lend them out but if you're that way inclined let him use them at your place under supervision... That way you know they are treated with the proper respect!! :y :y :y

update
the sister in law has threatened to leave the b.i.l if he cleans the tools
WHAT A PAIR OF PRATTS i wish i hadn't said a word about it .But at the end of the day its the principle of the matter ,i wouldn't return anything Ive borrowed in a bad condition. What i have noticed though is that theirs a lot of brave people on the end of the phone around here :D :D :D :D
