Title: Bit of info required hopefully for my amusement
Post by: Tresvant on 12 January 2009, 10:08:49
I was hoping that someone may be able to give me some info that should make me very happy

my wifes dopey boss decided that his car was running a little rough so treated himself to some redex petrol treatment stuff which i know from being on here is not really worth doing. However rather than adding it to his petrol tank he put the whole bottle in where you fill up the oil.

Now i am hoping that this is going to cause him problems as he is a complete t**t, so if someone could let me know what if any problems he is likely to face  ;D

Given what it does I would expect it to destroy the oils properties.....and we all know what normaly follows that!

Yep....often accompanied with a modified engine that has the addition of a new breather hole.

LOL perfect example of the snake oil mug.  ;D

My car is not working properly so rather then trying to diagnose a problem, or at least making sure it's been serviced adequately, I'll go out and buy a heavily marketed potion, and even then not bother to  read the instructions.

Agreed.

Yep, conrod exit stage left is the usual.....or just an engine which starts to rev more freely for a very short period of time before seizing.

Hmmm, that's not good. I would be doing something about that if I where you.
Similar situation a few years back, so turned up at her work place for a few days, swore like a trooper at no one in particular, and just looked at him rather menacingly, (i am 6' 4" and reasonably big built, but gentle as a lamb really)
Strangely enough his attitude changed somewhat. They never really got on but at least she was not bullied by him anymore.
One thing I really despise is bullying managers.

bullying managers

are all cowards, Had a few and they expect you to put up and shut up, only i didnt. I let rip turning all shades or red and purple, left him white as a ghost tho, i got a written warning for it but he never treated anyone like that again, so worth it.

You could always buy him another bottle of Redex, exchange the contents for some golden syrup with a little red food colouring and tell him to put it in the fuel tank this time.  ;D

Well done, more of us need to stand up to people who behave like this. Just because they have the title "manager" they think they have right to abuse people. And at the end of the day that is what it is, abuse.

Not an engine that needs a lot of encouragement to throw things through the side of the block, as Mrs. KW found out once. :-X

more details on how that happened if you dont mind, my bro is seriously thinking of buying one but if they're weak engines i'll disuade him, he's not a harsh driver though anyway

Well, actually, if we're taking "fairly new" it probably won't be an issue. Mrs. KW's one had the prehistoric Endura E / Valencia engine which suffered from poor crankcase breathing followed by diluted oil and then Bang!

The later ones with the Sigma engines are much better.
