Title: Should I or not?
Post by: Del Boy on 14 January 2009, 16:14:08
Get my car resprayed? I can get it done for £600 with all holes and it is a professional job too. But is it worth it? What will a Wreg 3.0 MV6 manual Cambelt only done 3K ago needs rockers doing though (other than that it is mechanically perfect) 163K miles what will it be worth?

Yes sorry LSG, feeling like that today!!  Must lie down in a moment....! :D :D :D

No seriously what I really meant to say was that a respray in white will probably just enhance it's saleability, but not necessarily its market value in sterling. :)

If resprayed in say metallic silver, gold, or another 'solid' colour then no doubt it must add a few pounds to the asking price, but I doubt the full £600 spent as with all vehicle enhancements. ;)

;D Do you reckon I'd be real cheeky asking 1200 quid for it after respray in white and a new interior  :-?

I reckon that would be a very realistic price for a very nice car, which the car enthusiasts in Ashford could be tempted by. 8-) 8-)

In fact I would ask £1350, expecting the £1200. :D ;)

Personally I think it depends on if you are thinking of keeping the car for a while...

I'm not but if I were to sell it in it's current state I think I would get what i'm paying for a respray.
