Title: Sunroof switch bulb
Post by: Dazzler on 15 January 2009, 15:33:35
Mine is removeable, but does anyone know if it is available to buy on its own, or is there an aftermarket one that is known to fit???

The switch just pulls off, but is hard.
Then remove the interior light assy and disconnect.
Then remove 2 screws which are now revealed.
remove the manual crank plastic infil panel.
Pull down on plastic housing from the front.
The rear has 2 clips which will let go when you pull the front down.
Pull front down all the way as the panel needs to be at 90 degrees to let go at the rear.
Before you pull down you need to unclip the rotory switch from the main plastic housing.

I changed the bulb in mine at the weekend just a question is the switch meant to be just floating about in the black box  :question it does in mine I could not see how it was meant to be fixed if not  :exclamation . Anyway its all back together and working ok .
But the illuminated switch is taking time to get used to just seems odd having it lit up  ::)

The switch clips into the large plastic surround under the knob itself, when not clipped in then it is free to float around a bit.

Pity you didn't mention it yesterday Steve, our Tony would have shown you how to get at it as he did mine.
