Just chatting to a mate, he has been out gritting the M1 since 5am this moning. 150 tons of grit has been spead between J30 and J34 as there is a heavy downfall of snow expected from 5pm onwards.
Shame the councel wernt as good at keeping ther roads clear. saw the griitters at 2 am and as the busses are not running they havent bothered since.

They mine the salt from just down the road from me, you can take a tour of the massive underground caves.

There was some bloke on the radio at lunchtime waffling on about a 54 mile tailback on the M25 - any truth in that rumour?

I have been round an old one, used to go there as it was owned by ICL and they had an EMC chamber in it!

There's loads around here but most have been filled in using money from the EEC, they're only doing it to stabilize the land so they can build on it, but its all gone a bit boobs up at the moment ;D

Gritters went past our house 5 times last night, plus any overnight. We are only a small villabe and the road is a 'B' road but it's a bus and Ambulance route. :y
It's the winds that cause the trouble blowing off the fields and blocking the road. :)
